If you are familiar with the word “Easter Eggs” then you must be knowing that Microsoft no more provides any “Easter Eggs” in his products as these things are not legal. But as far as fun is concerned there are some things present in Windows 7 that can be considered as “Easter Eggs”. In my next 3 articles i will be talking about Easter Egg present in Windows 7. Now in this Article, i will talk about Windows 7 Default wallpapers. You might have noticed these things but if you not then you really find these hidden features a real fun.
- If you have used Windows 7 Beta, You might remember a wallpaper with a Fish in the middle of wallpaper. Now, why that wallpaper was chosen as default wallpaper for Windows 7? Answer to this question is, Microsoft released Windows 7 Beta version with the default wallpaper having a Betta Fish in the middle of Wallpaper and that Betta Fish is shown with total of 7 bubbles flowing on top of it. Isn’t that interesting?
- If you have in mind the log on screen of Windows 7 RTM, then i want to tell you that it too have a hidden message about Windows 7. There are some leaves present in the wallpaper on one side. You can even find some more wallpapers with some type of leaves present there. But what is the message there? If you count the number of leaves present in the wallpapers, i result into the number 7, so is the Windows 7 wallpaper and Default Log On screen. Also you there is a bright bird shown coming toward these leaves, that is giving the message the Windows 7 is having a bright future.

In the default wallpaper of Windows 7 RTM, It is having 4 quadrants in it. These quadrant are somewhat common in Microsoft products. So what’s new here? If you notice that, this wallpaper is having 7 new element, other than rays of light, present on these quadrants (Hexagons in the 2nd quadrant, Bird on the same quadrant, Circles on the same quadrant, Grass in 3rd quadrant, Two types of sparkling things in alternative bottom quadrants, and a tree in the 1st quadrant)
- Except all these points, if you notice in every default wallpaper of Windows 7, every wallpaper have some rays spread out in all the image. But interesting thing is this that every wallpaper have total of 7 rays emerging in the image. So here come the Number 7 again.
