Portable Document Format (PDF) is the global standard for capturing and reviewing rich information from almost any application on any computer system and sharing it with virtually anyone, anywhere. Portable Document Format(PDF) files with a .pdf extension can be read by any computer with the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Acrobat Reader is free software from Adobe. You can create PDF files in Adobe Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. Even Microsoft Office 2010 have built in support to create PDF files in Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint. In previous versions you can download a plugin for Office named DoPDF. Some Instruction to Create PDF files are as followsInstructions:
1. Using Photoshop

- Create an Image which you want as a pdf file in photoshop.
- Choose “Save As” Option from “File” Menu.
- In Save As Dialog choose “format” as Photoshop PDF, provide the proper name as you want and click save.
2. Using Illustrator

- Choose “Save As” Option from “File” Menu.
- In Save As Dialog Box Choose Adobe PDF as “Save As Type:”, provide the proper name as you want and click save.
- Follow some instructions and set some settings for your pdf file and proceed to save the PDF file.
Create artwork for your PDF file in Illustrator.
3. Using InDesign
- Choose same set of instructions as provided for Photoshop and illustrator.
4. Using Microsoft Word 2010, Excel 2010, Publisher 2010, Power Point 2010

- Create the pages for your pdf file in Microsoft Word.
- Choose “Save As” Option from “File” Menu.
- In Save As Dialog Box Choose PDF as “Save As Type:”, provide the proper name as you want and some other changes if you wish and click save.
5. Using plugin DoPDF for previous versions of Office products

- Download DoPDF plugin from its website and install. Its free to download.
- After installing create your pages for PDF file in any text editor program like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPad, NotePad or any printable document.
- Choose “Print” and select “DoPDF” from the list of printers.
- Click “Print” Button, You will be asked where to save the PDF file and when finished, the PDF will be automatically opened with your default PDF reader.
